First Birthday Layout

It was my son's first birthday on May 19th. I was so excited for him to have his first taste of real sugar!!! He had a little cupcake to smash- so much fun! I made this layout using Doodlebug's Hip Hip Hooray line. The monsters are just so cute! I even used washi tape, sprinkles, vellum, and stickers. The colours in this line are perfect for bright colour lovers out there, like me!!!

Sunshine Birthday Card

Oh, how wonderfully colourful this card is!!! I used the bright and fabulous Doodlebug Spring line. Love, Love the stickers in this collection. I pop dotted the sun and a few of the flowers. That tiny butterfly is fussy cut from the butterfly paper in this line. This one is going to my Grandma for her birthday!

Spring Is Here!

Happy spring......or should I say insta-summer!!! We went from super cold and rainy to +30 this weekend. Crazy weather! I made this card with Doodlebug's new spring line. I used a Spellbinder die to cut the yellow top paper. I pop dotted that on top of green plaid paper. I then added all kinds of stickers, pop dotting some. Super easy and super cute!

Oh Happy Day!!!

I made this layout using Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine line. The embellishments are from Echo Park's Hello Sunshine. My son was a couple of months old here and this past weekend he turned the big 1!!! A whole year has gone by- so many ups and downs, but many precious memories were made. He is such a sweet boy. I cannot wait to see what this next year will bring!

The beautiful thing many companies are doing now is making a tear strip that can be reused. The date tab at the bottom was part of a tear strip from a larger piece of patterned paper- so environmentally responsible and thrifty too!!!

Watch Me Layout

Here is my double page layout made with Echo Park's Scoot line. I had a bunch of pictures of my son in his Jolly Jumper and some of his poses were just too cute! I wanted to get as many pictures as I could into a layout so I went for a double pager, which is something I do not do very often at all.
I have not added the jounaling yet. I seem to hesitate on that part when it comes to writing on a page. I never trust my penmanship.

Some of the stars are pop dotted as is the title.

I even punched a smaller picture and backed it on red paper to bring it into focus. My son just loved jumping in this thing. I think that is why his legs are so strong now! He has outgrown the jumper and is on his way to walking or shall I say running away from mom! He is a busy, busy boy!

Hope you are having a sunny day! It is shining here- FINALLY!!!!!!!

Hello, Party Time Cards

First up is a card I made using My Mind's Eye paper from quite awhile back called Fine and Dandy. The sun and cloud are chipboard stickers from Echo Park. I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from DIY Simple Stories.
I used Swagger by Fancy Pants for this card. I was trying to make a more masculine card again since they are challenging for me and I always need them! I pop dotted the light blue stars. The brads are Doodlebug and the stamp was Paper Smooches. Back tomorrow with a double page layout!!

Sentimental Cards

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! I have two cards to share today. The first is a sympathy card that I made using Jillibean Soup from the line Cold Avocado Soup. I stamped the sentiment and I added pearl bling to the pop dotted butterfly.

I am one of those people that find making guy cards more challenging. It is not the paper part but the embellishing that I find tricky. I made this card for my grandpa and I think it is the right amount of manly without too much fuss over embellishments. I punched a heart and layered it. I added washi tape and some sequins. The sentiment is KaiserKraft letter stickers.

Party Time!

Just a quick little card to share with you today. I misted this card with vanilla Smooch and I am not sure if I love the result. It is a big trend right now in scrapping though so I need to be brave and branch out........

I used Doodlebug's Sugar Shoppe for this card and I used sequins too. I added some bundled up thread in a style that I learned from Kelly Goree at Crop & Create.

Birthday Tags

Happy belated National Scrapbooking Day!!! I was so busy checking out all the blogs that I did not post anything on my own! But I am back again today with a few cute projects to share. I made these two gift tags with the treat bags from Doodlebug. I spruced them up with washi tape, sprinkles or sequins, twine, and stickers. These treat bags make a neat little holder for a gift card too.

How cute are the sequins??? They add a little sparkle in some pretty snappy colours- also from Doodlebug!
I also made a Mother's Day card since it is sneaking up on us. I used Doodlebug's spring line to make this happy little card. I rounded the corners of my paper and my card. I stamped the sentiment. I added wire to the butterfly. Some of the flowers are pop dotted and I added sprinkles too. I am loving those sprinkles!!
