I finally got to use the cute bunny paper from Doodlebug! This layout was made with the spring line from Doodlebug. I used fancy frills from older lines. My son kept the bunny ears on long enough to capture a few cute shots.
I used a blue Sharpie pen to write the jounaling and it was a very soft color on the sticker, which I actually like since it does not distract from the picture. It is easier to see in person.
Around here, we are in a state of flooding!!! The amount of rain we are getting is just insane. After the crappy winter you would think we were due for a real nice summer- yeah right! Mother Nature has other plans I guess. Grandma bought my son water shoes which were meant for the beach but are coming in handy for playing in the yard! Our street flooded tonight in the rain. I certainly hope July brings some better weather........PLEASE!!!!!!

Dance in the Rain Layout
I am slowly getting into pocket style scrapbooking. The advantage is definitely being able to focus on the pictures and less on the format of a full page. For me, journaling is always a challenge so this style also lets me work on that aspect of my scrapping.
I was able to devote a 4x6 block to my journaling and I printed it on the computer so I could control the size to make sure it would fit. I printed on vellum and attached it to patterned paper. I added some epoxy raindrops and ribbon at the top.
I used cardstock and old paper from Imaginisce. I used rub-ons on the photos too.
This was one wet day! That seems to be the way this summer is going- rain, rain, rain, and yes, more rain!!!!

Number One Layout
I used old My Mind's Eye paper for this layout. The line was called Quite Contrary. I divide my papers by theme and sometimes by company. I have a file of spring paper that I have not really touched until now!!! Having a child and lots of photos gives me the chance to use all those goodies I have been hoarding. The stickers are from Pebbles Inc.
I have a pocket page to go with this layout that I will post tomorrow. It has all the journaling. My son adores cats and this was just the cutest picture of him with a stray kitten we found at Grandma and grandpa's farm. We took him to the Humane Society and I pray he found a good home because he was the absolute sweetest kitty! I would have kept him but I already have four!!!
I made this card for my hubby's birthday. I used Bella Blvd. paper, feather, and washi tape. My husband always forgets how old he is so the inside says 29 Again? It makes me laugh!
Happy Monday!

Handsome Lil' Dude Layout
I have been slowly working on this layout for awhile. I love the overlays by Jillibean Soup with the various cut designs. I knew I wanted to use the bright colored paper from Doodlebug to highlight the circles. I had to punch my pictures to fit in the circles to which was a bit of a challenge for me since I hate to cut pictures! I traced the circles on the background white and then I knew where to place my cut circles and photos.
I added some sprinkles, stickers, teensy type letters, and arrows in various spots.
I tried to keep a visual triangle going with the hearts and the sprinkles. I kept all the words to the outer circles on the page with the title in the middle. The arrows keep the eyes moving around the pictures. I think it turned out all right. I love the colors for sure!!!

Lil' Monster Layout
I finally got my pictures done and I finished this layout of my son enjoying his first taste of sugar! He grabbed the scoop of ice cream and put the whole thing in his mouth, which was then followed by a sour face as he realized how cold it was! I made him little monster cupcakes and I will admit it was on purpose so they would match this Doodlebug paper!!! Ha Ha, a true scrapper!
I used all Doodlebug products from the line Hip Hip Hooray. I just cannot get enough of this line. Perfect for my son's birthday and all things boy! I have said it before and I will say it again- how cute are those monsters!

Happy Father's Day!!!
This is a busy weekend for me. Not only is it Father's Day, it is my birthday and then my husband's birthday follows right behind mine. There will be lots of celebrating! Here is a card I made for my father in law. I used Jillibean Soup's Macho Nacho line from a few years back. I fussy cut the ties from patterned paper and pop dotted them. Enjoy the weekend!

Mini Birthday Card
Just a quick card to share to today. I am waiting on pictures for 2 layouts I have in the works.
I used Echo Park Summer Bliss paper, Doodlepop flowers, Kraft in Color sticker, and a doodlebug label for this card.

Happy Mini Cards
This line from Echo Park makes me happy! I love anything summer related. I have two bins full of summer paper....maybe three.... and there is no way I will ever use it all but it is my favorite paper to buy! The clouds were made using a Memory Box cloud diecut and Doodlebug white vellum. I pop dotted the sun and the title.
Who can resist these monsters from Doodlebug's line Hip Hip Hooray??? So cute! Just a simple little card to attach to a gift bag or gift.

Happy Birthday Cards
What a week!!! We just came back from a little getaway and this week was SO busy! Now that the sun is out and spring is here (finally!) there is a pile of stuff to do in the yard. I have put my scrap time on hold in order to get the garden going and the yard work. The work never ends! So many weeds.....
At any rate, I did manage to make 2 cards yesturday. The top one is made with Doodlebug's Hip Hip Hooray line. The bottom card is made with Lawn Fawn paper and stamps. The birds happen to be Doodlebug though. I am not much of a stamper but I really liked these ones from Hello Sunshine. I am just thinking now I should have added something to the middle of the sun.....sometimes inspiration hits later!
Enjoy the sun wherever you are, even if you have to make your own!
