Hello Spring

I am off for the weekend- a cozy little getaway for some relax time! I made this quick little card using Hello Spring from Doodlebug. I used two cute cuts and added some stickles and pearls to the flowers. I also pop dotted the cute cuts with two different sized pop dots for dimension. I wish, wish, wish it was spring!

  Happy weekend everyone!

Spring thoughts.....or Wishes!

It is definitely NOT spring where I am. We just had a doozy of a storm this weekend with lots of snow so we will not see grass for quite awhile yet. But I am feeling in the spring mood so I pulled out my Doodlebug stash and dug out the spring line from last year- Hello Spring.

I used one sheet of paper from the line Hello Spring and I kept my design quite clean, using only stickers, a piece of fancy frill, and the Headlines to complete the page.

Some of the stickers came glittered and it adds a nice little touch of sparkle! This is my cat Hobbes in our backyard. He was checking out the birds in the trees and the blossoms in the background make me think of spring- more like yearn for spring!!!!

The journalling is from Doodlebug- love the rub-ons! Now, if only spring would come knocking on our doors soon......

Sunday Inspiration

After looking at the Doodlebug blog, I was so inspired by the box of love photos created by Jodi Wilton that I had to create a card using the same colours. I have said it many, many times- I LOVE Doodlebug products! The colours are bright and happy and the best part- you can use old lines with new ones and the colours still match! That makes it so versatile to use products over and over. I used washi tape around the outside to make a border and a place for the birds to perch. I used a fancy frill for the banner across the top. The birds are mini doodlepops. I drew the music notes with a black Sharpie marker. The sentiment is a sticker from EK Success.

I made this baby card using Bella Blvd. Baby Girl paper and stickers. When I bought this line I was not sure what I would do with it but I knew someday it would come in handy- and now all my friends are having baby #2 so I am lucky that I have the cutest baby papers on hand when I need a card for a new bundle of joy!

Want to know a little secret........ The baby girl sentiment with the heart was actually cut from the bottom strip that usually gets thrown out; it is actually the title of the paper line by Bella Blvd. and I thought it was cute to use instead of throw out!

Now, hopefully I can keep rolling with this inspired creativity today!

Just Because...

Here is a cute little card I made using My Mind's Eye cut outs from the summer line On the Sunny Side and sunshine paper from American Crafts Shoreline collection. The rub-on sentiment is from KaiserKraft. I pop dotted the birds using two different sized pop dots. I had a very non-creative week so I will have to find some inspiration this long weekend to catch up! Happy family day!

My Love Layout with Doodlebug

I finished my first double page layout ever! I usually have a tough enough time doing one layout but I decided I needed to try a double page layout and it was challenging! It took me a week to put this together as I played with the format for awhile and then tried different embellishments. So I finally finished this weekend and this is what I came up with.

I used Doodlebug Valentine paper and embellishments. A few years back, Doodlebug released headlines and rub-on quotes and I tried to buy them all because I just loved how easy they could be used on a layout. I have used them many times in various pages and I used them again here.

I used two cute cuts and some flower stickers to form the visual triangle across the two pages. At the bottom of the pictures I used a Fancy Frill banner sticker.

These pictures were taken in the fall but by turning them to black and white I was able to use my choice of themed paper. I am so grateful for my loving husband. We make a great team!

Colourful Cards

I am trying to mix up my creations so this weekend was all about birthdays. I am anxiously awaiting all the new releases to come! For my first card I used Doodlebug dotted paper in the array of colours that are a Doodlebug staple. I punched the circles with my Fiskars punches. The rub-on is from Daisy Bucket. Oh, how I love rub-ons!

My second and third card were made with Bella Blvd. Birthday Girl paper and accents. I added a teal strip of Bazzill cardstock to the notes paper. I also added stickles to the birthday tag and then pop dotted it to the front of the card.

I fussy cut the hippo and the birthday cake. I layered two of the chipboard elements at the top. I pop dotted the candle in the middle with the star. The pink dotted paper is from the Sophisticates line.

February can be a dreary month but hopefully this brought some colour to your day!
