Cow Birthday Cards

I have rediscovered my Cricut machine! I think it is the easiest way for me to make cards right now. I used the cartridge Create a Critter for this first cow. That cartridge has to be one of my fav's since the animals are just so cute and versatile! I also pulled out my cuttlebug and embossed the background. I used a wobble on the cow so he bounces around when the card moves.

Here is the sentiment inside which is actually from the cartridge Birthday Bash.

This cow is also from the cartridge Birthday Bash and I added a Bella Blvd. flag. The woodgrain paper is WeRMemory Keepers from the Happy Camper line.
I used the same sentiment as above in this card too!

More Cards!!!

I am back again! I am lucking out with my card making. I can make them pretty quickly in between nap time for my babe, at least when I have some inspiration. My layouts are not happening but at least I am creating something.

I got the sentiment idea from a feature in the summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today. I changed the card but I loved the idea of a crab and the play on words- too funny! I made the crab using my Cricut machine and the cartridge Pack Your Bags. The letter stickers are Jillibean Soup and the paper is Pebbles Inc. and LillyBee Designs.

Below is my sentiment inside.

I miss dry embossing. I love the look of it on cards. It is a trend that was hot for awhile and has sort of faded away. At least where I am from- the stores stopped selling the templates. But I have many of them and I pulled out this one for an anniversary card. The template is from Lasting Impressions and the company is still around. Their blog has some good card ideas with dry embossing if you are interested. I also used Lasting Impressions paper for this card since it has a white core and can be sanded. I pop dotted the lime green pear and I added some twine. Pretty simple but very cute!

Mermaid Card

Wow, I got another card made! When my little bug is sleeping I quickly come to my scraproom and fiddle as much as I can before he wakes up. Napping during the day is not always happening but he is sleeping really well at night now. So at least I am not totally exhausted during the day!

I got this idea from the Cricut Magazine. I used the cartridge Life is a Beach and Create a Critter to make this scene. The scallop cutout was done with a nestability and my Cuttlebug machine. The sentiment is Pebbles Inc. I used Sookwang tape and glitter for a sand look at the bottom. The bubbles are from Cloud 9 which I purchased long ago somewhere! I used ColorBox ink on the mermaid's face and stickles on her tail. I also added a doodlebling on the flower in her hair. Lastly, I sprayed glitter mist over the whole card. So my lucky niece will be getting lots of glitter for her birthday!

Boy Birthday Cards

I made this dino card using my Cricut and the cartridge Create A Critter. The paper is My Mind's Eye. It is a tri-fold card.

I printed the sentiment on the computer on white cardstock.

This sentiment is also from the Create A Critter cartridge.

This card was made with my Cricut using the cartridge 3 Birds On Parade. It is a super cute one with birds for all seasons. The patterned paper was from Queen & Co.

Here is the inside sentiment that I printed on my computer.

Beach Ball Birthday Card

I used my Cricut machine to cut this beach ball card from Pebbles Inc.'s  Party with Amy Locurto paper line. The cartridge I used was Life is a Beach. I added Doodletwine and two stickers from Bella Blvd. minitures card sentiments.

The tool to have is the Silhouette machine it seems but I still enjoy my Cricut. Especially since I have bought so many cartridges! I am in the process of making 2 boy birthday cards using my Cricut as well so stay tuned.......hopefully I will find some scrappy time again soon!
