Happy Birthday Card

I made this card following a sketch from Card Maps Today vol. 2. I used Bo Bunny paper and stickers. I used Doodlebug twine on the balloons and that balloon sticker was Karen Foster. I covered a 4.5x 4.5 inch piece of birthday paper with vellum and punched a pile of confetti from cardstock to put inside. I added the stickers and sentiment on the outside of the vellum. I added yellow stickles to the hat and candle in the sentiment. I also pop dotted the balloons. What a cute little shaker card!

Spring Cards with Doodlebug

I wish I had the new Doodlebug spring line but not yet....so I used last years to get into the spring mood! There is still an unbelievable amount of snow here so spring is not coming until maybe June if we are lucky!!!! Until then I have to pretend....

I used paper, mini doodlepops, stickers, tags, twine, sprinkles, and seals to make these two cards. I love bright colours! I have to say one of my favorite things to come out from Doodlebug has to be the sprinkles. I adore the bright colours and the versatile uses for these. Funny how epoxy stickers and shapes were around about, hmmmmm, almost 10 years ago and are now back. Kind of like vellum coming back in trend. Have a colourful day!

Spring Gift Box

Just a quick little project to show here today. We all spent the weekend sicker than......you know what!!! It was awful, needless to say. But we are on the recovery now and thank goodness!!! I bought a box maker from We R Memory Keepers and I made this little box from a really, really old piece of paper from my stash. I added some Doodlebug stickers, washi tape, a tag with twine and a button and viola!!! Hopefully I will be able to get back to regular blogging here this week.......

Sweet Summer Layout

Hooray for long weekends! And warmer weather- FINALLY!!!! We were finally able to take our son outside in his sled for some fresh air. It is so nice not to have to dress like a puffy cloud of layered winter gear.

I made this sunny layout using Carta Bella's summer line from last year. I pop-dotted the title and one of the stars. Hmmmmmmm, wish summer was on its way now.....I have missed being outdoors.

I am on vacation starting tomorrow so I will be back here on the weekend... enjoy the week!!!

You Are My Sunshine

I made a quick little birthday card using Doodlebug products from the old birthday boy line.
I stickled the cake and pop-dotted the stars.

I made this fun summer layout using an overlay from KI and a sunshine paper from Imaginisce. I added various coloured papers behind shapes and words to highlight them. I also sprayed ink in a few spots in both yellow and blue. I added some Echo park layered stickers to the page as well.

My baby boy is so cranky right now, darn teething.....but this picture helps to remind me what a precious baby boy he is!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! Be sure to spread some love to those who matter today!

More Love Day Cards

Here is a cute little mini card I made using Doodlebug products- some new, some old.

This card was made with a combo of old My Minds Eye and new Echo Park stickers.

My little man is having a very tough day so I have not been able to have much quiet time. I am reminded of the newborn stage and wishing my happy boy would come back to me. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.....and more creative!

Some Bunny Loves You!

This is going to be a mini album for my son but it is not finished so I am just showing the cover. I used We R Memory Keepers from a few years past.
Below is a card made using the new Echo Park Valentine line. I guess I need to mail my Valentine cards so they reach people in time for Friday!

Doodlebug Valentine Card With Gift Card Holder

I made this card quickly since my son is asleep and I am not sure for how long......we are going thru a very intersting phase right now. He is on the move which means he does not want to sleep and because of this, he is SOOOOOOO grouchy! He is usually such a happy boy so it is hard to be going thru this. I know he will grow out of this phase too, hopefully sooner than later!!!

I used the chevron glitter paper as the background and then dressed up a treat bag with washi tape, stickers, sprinkles, and twine. It is Friday once again- yipppeeeeee! Have a great weekend!

Project Baby Boy Album

I am putting together an album for my son and I have done many single page layouts but I also want to get more photos in there so these pages with dividers are perfect for that!  I actually find this way of scrapbooking kind of more difficult as you have to be smart about how you dress up the page. The plastic cover does not allow for big embellishments so anything layered has to be somewhat flat.
Above, I used Doodlebug products and even though the picture was taken in December, I used Valentine products to show my love for my little man!

This page was made using Simple Stories cards and a bit of Bella and Doodlebug stickers.
As you can see I still need to add journaling to the three pages......

I think this page was made with Kaiser Kraft paper. Many companies are making paper with the different sized pieces that go into these divided pages- So Handy!!! I also added Echo Park Stickers.

And last of all, here is another Valentine card I made using Doodlebug products. I cannot get enough of those sprinkles!!! I used a whole package already!

Doodlebug Valentine Cards

It is just over a week until Valentine's Day! Time to make those cute cards for those you love. I am excited to share this first Valentine's Day with my son. So many firsts in his first year, so exciting! He is crawling now and that is pretty neat to see. He gets so much stronger everyday and I know it won't be long until he is walking too.

Now for my cards- I used all Doodlebug product including washi tape, stickers, fancy frills, twine, seals, doilies, doodlepops, and paper. Basically all that they have to offer!

I think this one is my absolute favorite. I totally adore that kraft paper with the small pink hearts. This line is just so fun and easy to work with.

The new Doodlebug lines look so cute and I am very intrigued to see the kraft with colour line. Can't wait to see it all and hopefully soon!

Kitty Cat Layout- Sketch Contest

I am a bright colour scrapper! Which means when I saw this line from Imaginisce for dogs I had to buy it even though I do not have a dog.....and it worked perfectly for my cat Taz! I used a Page Map from Becky Fleck to create this layout. (see below)

The stickers are from Doodlebug and some of those cute little circles are pop-dotted.
I adore this picture of Taz looking out the window....I am sure he longs to be outside in the sun like the rest of us in Winter-peg!!!

It is February and apparently our groundhog has predicted an early spring.....hmmmm, that would be nice! Stay tuned for my Valentine cards.......
Here is the sketch....
